THE BRAT
1. In a pot large enough for 4 to 5 brats add enough beer to cover, half a chopped onion and 1/4 stick of butter.
2. Boil brats for 10 minutes.
TIP: Boil for 15 minutes if you do not want to grill the brats.
3. Remove brats and grill on low to medium heat until brown on all sides. Keep the liquid in the pot warm.
TIP: If the grill is too hot the brats will burst.
4. Remove the brats from the grill and place back in the warm pot with liquid.
THE STUFF (For 1 Brat)
1. Cut 1 slice of bacon into 1 inch chunks and cook to desired crispiness
2. Caramelize half a yellow onion.
3. Slice half an avocado
4. Slice half a tomato then slide the slices in half
ASSEMBLY
1. On a hot dog bun of your choice place one slice of chopped bacon.
2. Add brat on top of bacon.
3. Add spicy mustard to top of brat.
4. On the other side of the bun add tomato and avocado.
5. Top the brat with caramelized onions and sauerkraut.
